Katy Perry in Sheffield

I went to see Katy Perry's PRISMATIC world tour last Friday night....

It was AMAZING! I love her, she is officially my new girl crush! The whole show was packed with dancing and lazers and everything which makes a performance exciting from start to finish. Her costumes are crazily good, and she literally looks amazing in anything. It even inspired me to do something crazy with my hair (Once I've finished work obviously- don't want to get fired at the last minute!!)

Happily ever after...

My time at Disney is coming to an end :( To re-cap, I somehow  managed to get a year long internship at The Walt Disney Company, working in the Fashion and Home team. It has been a wonderful experience which I am so so grateful for. It is also slightly scary, as this has absolutely been the quickest year of my life. It has made me realise I can't waste time, you only live once (cringe) and you really do need to live every single moment as much as you can! This is definitely easier said than done; what with my two hour commute to Hammersmith every day for a year! Fitting in a social life has not always been the easiest thing to achieve! I have to say this got slightly easier when 2 of my best friends upped and moved their lives to Australia (more on this later....!)

Going to the premiere of Captain America: The Winter Soldier was an absolute highlight of my year! We got to walk to blue carpet along with all the celebs, and I even managed a sneaky picture with Philip Schofield!

My other highlight was going to Disneyland Paris with 8 other interns. It has been great that we have been able to make such good friends over the year. It was such a fun trip- and we even managed to get fast pass on all the rides with our work passes! With our Minnie ears on the whole trip we certainly attracted a lot of attention, which we were happy to accept! It honestly has been an amazing year and I won't forget it ever!

Sad mice going home :(

Although this is an end to a very fun chapter, I have so much to look forward to! More to come on that xx

Bournemouth

So I havnt updated my blog in forever so I thought I should do a few recent updates! So recently I went to Bournemouth to visit my friend Rosie. I love going down to Bournemouth; it's such a fun town and the nightlife is always great! We were so lucky with the weather- beautiful sunshine and the beach was full!

Rainbow cake

I made this cake! The sweetest thing I've ever tasted but looked gorgeous! It's just a standard sponge recipe with a huge bunch of food colouring shoved in. Food colouring makes me crazy! So safe to say this cake had me bouncing off the walls. Perfect for a child's birthday or just something to brighten up a rainy day!

Festive nails!

As I am on a slight budget this year (commuting ruining my life as per) I have decided to makeshift my festive nails rather than getting then done professionally after a few (failed) attempts at nail art, I decided nail wraps might be the beat option. So I bought these candy came beauties off eBay for a lovely price of £3.

So I started by filing my nails down to a good length, and went from there.

You then need to pick the right sized nail wrap for your fingers. They are pretty large but as I found they are nice an easy to cut. I have never met anyone with nails a large as they come on these things, never understood why they don't make them smaller! I'll be sticking to child sizes from now on.

Once the nail sticker has been removed from the backing plastic, the wrap is pressed down onto the nail. Then get a hair dryer and give your nail a quick blast. I do genuinely mean a quick blast- I have experienced a little by of pain while doing this!!! Once the nail is secured, file away the excess length and this is the result you get:

Not too bad if I do say so myself! After the first nail, all that's left to do is stick, heat, file, repeat. Until you get a result similar to this:

I think this is ok as a first attempt! Having said this I reckon they would probably look better on a longer or possibly even an acrylic nail.

This is my first step into festively beautifying myself! Any suggestions for anything I could do next?

Xxx

Itsssss Christmassss

Christmas time is upon us and I could not be happier! My absolute favourite time of the year. We've been getting super festive at work although I'm missing out on Disney Xmas party tonight due to being a poorly mouse. :(

So I only have 2 more days left at work before I have a full 12 day break. So excited it's unreal. In that 12 days I have so much to look forward to! Of course there's Xmas itself which will as always be a wonderful day. Then I have NYE which I have promised myself will actually be good this year!! ( no drink spikings, no tonsillitis etc) going to shoreditch to see duke dumont and will heard which will be amazing. Then I'm going to the ballet with ma, and of course plenty of relaxing and catching up with friends :) next week I'm going to do some posts about some bits and pieces I've been making, cushion covers, candle holders and snowman cookies to start!

Hope everyone has a fabulous time this season! Xxxx

Holi!

Holi one festival!!!! Literally one of the best days of my life. So much fun! So much cider! So much colour! I loved it. I will absolutely be attending one next year too, even though it did stain my skin for a good week after! Fun explaining that one to the office 👍
